Expert group on food hygiene and control of food of animal origin:
The expert group "Food Hygiene" discusses and potentially agrees on issues related to the implementation and enforcement of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 (General Food Hygiene), 853/2004 (Hygiene of Food of Animal Origin) and 854/2004 (Controls of Food of Animal Origin and Import conditions). It will also be involved in the development of tertiary legislation based on the empowerments provided for in these Regulation, as well as the empowerments provided for in Regulation (EU) 2017/625 related to control of food of animal origin and import conditions (requirements currently in Regulation (EC) No 854/2004, which will be repealed by Regulation (EU) 2017/625.
