Official controls expert group:
Mission
The expert group “Official controls” discusses and potentially agrees on issues related to the implementation and enforcement of Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 and the Official Controls Regulation (EU) 2017/625. It will also be involved in the development of tertiary legislation based on the empowerments provided by Regulation (EU) 2017/625.
Task
• Assist the Commission in relation to the implementation of existing Union legislation, programmes and policies
• Assist the Commission in the preparation of delegated acts
• Coordinate with Member States, exchange of views
