Strengthening of the European Child Guarantee
The European Child Guarantee (ECG) aims to promote the social inclusion of children in need by offering them:
- free and effective access to:
- childcare,
- education (including school-based activities and meals),
- healthcare;
- effective access to:
- healthy nutrition,
- adequate housing.
Given the persistence of child poverty, this Communication will outline actions to strengthen the ECG by supporting its national and local implementation and by improving access to key services for children in need.
