Competitiveness in the single banking market

This Savings and Investments Union initiative aims to assess how the EU banking sector helps the EU economy become more competitive and to identify actions to address competitiveness issues, including structural barriers limiting cross-border activity, and financial market integration.

The initiative will evaluate if the current prudential, supervisory and crisis management frameworks are fit for purpose given evolving market dynamics, digitalisation and global competitive pressures.
