Electronic freight transport information (eFTI) – Introduction of new identifiers in the eFTI registry of identifiers

Roadside control authorities cannot easily identify the type of operation a vehicle is performing without stopping the vehicle to examine its documentation. This initiative would add the countries of the place of taking over of the goods and the place designated for their delivery to the freight data authorities can consult based on a vehicle’s number plate, so they can identify the nature of an operation before deciding to stop the vehicle performing the operation.

This initiative is part of a package and the Call for Evidence is shared. The main entry is Road transport smart enforcement and simplification.
