Market surveillance and compliance of products – evaluation and possible revision of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020
The performance of the Market Surveillance Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 is to be evaluated, as required under Article 42(1). The Regulation aims to improve the functioning of the single market by improving compliance with EU product harmonisation legislation. A parallel impact assessment will explore improvement options and their possible impacts, including ways to simplify the rules and reduce administrative burden for a possible revision.
