Physiotherapists – a common training framework to allow automatic cross-border recognition of qualifications
Demand for physiotherapy services is rising due to ageing populations, chronic disease and rehabilitation needs.
A common training framework built on existing similarities in how participating countries regulate, educate and train professionals would allow automatic cross-border recognition of qualifications.
This will simplify processes, reduce administrative burdens, reduce barriers to free movement, make recognition procedures more transparent, and safeguard a consistent standard of competence.
