Bakgrunn

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/8542 aims to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues. For that purpose, that Regulation sets out a control programme and the number of samples per Member State that are to be taken.
(2) Part C of Annex I to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/854 contains two errors which affect the substance of the provisions concerned. First, as regards fosetyl-Al, the new residue definition for enforcement provided by Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/26193 was not taken into account. Second, it is wrongly indicated that trimethylsulfonium cation is to be analysed in and on onions in 2027, instead of in 2026.
(3) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/854 should therefore be corrected accordingly.
(4) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed,
