Heavy-duty vehicles’ real-world fuel consumption and total mass – data collection and processing procedure
This initiative is a response to Article 12(4) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1242 on emission performance standards for new heavy-duty vehicles. That Article requires the Commission to establish the detailed procedure for collecting and processing data on heavy-duty vehicles’ real-world CO2 emissions and fuel or energy consumption, and total mass, using onboard fuel and/or energy consumption monitoring and onboard mass monitoring to assess the real-world representativeness of official CO2 emissions.
