Ship recycling – format of the certificate on the inventory of hazardous materials
The initiative aims at updating the format of the certificate on the inventory of hazardous materials delivered to ships under the EU Ship Recycling Regulation, to facilitate its use under the Hong Kong Convention.
With the Convention having entered into force on 26 June 2025, this initiative will reduce administrative burden, thereby enabling ship owners to fulfil their obligations under both the Regulation and the Convention with a single certificate.
