Low-capacity slaughterhouses and game-handling establishments – facilitating practical arrangements for inspections
The purpose of the proposed amendment is to:
- provide more flexibility on the timing of post-mortem inspections in low-capacity slaughterhouses and game-handling establishments;
- clarify the possible use of relevant technologies supplementing meat inspection;
- increase the limit for establishments to be considered as low-capacity;
- enable more slaughterhouses and game-handling establishments to benefit from flexibility provisions on meat inspection.
