Commission expert group on Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) :
Mission
The Commission expert group on LULUCF (LULUCFEG) shall assist DG CLIMA with the implementation of Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2018/841 (the LULUCF regulation). The LULUCFEG shall assist the Commission in carrying out the technical assessment of the national forestry accounting plans with a view to establishing the forest reference levels to be applied by the Member States in the first and second compliance periods (from 2021 to 2025, and from 2026 to 2030).
Task
• Assist the Commission in the preparation of delegated acts
• Other (Assist the Commission with the technical assessment of the national forestry accounting plans - Provide expertise to the Commission when preparing the technical recommendations to the Member States - Provide expertise to the Commission when calculating the forest reference levels in case of the non-submission by the Member States - Assist the Commission in the preparation of delegated acts laying down the forest reference levels)
