BAKGRUNN (fra kommisjonsforordningen)
(1) Article 19 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33 provides that the procedure laid down in Article 94 and Articles 96 to 99 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the cancellation of a protected geographical indication under Article 106 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
(2) Pursuant to Article 19 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33, France’s request to cancel the protected geographical indication ‘Sable de Camargue’ was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
(3) As no statement of objection under Article 98 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 has been received by the Commission, the protected geographical indication ‘Sable de Camargue’ should be cancelled.
(4) In view of the cancellation of the protection of the geographical indication ‘Sable de Camargue’, the entry should be deleted from the Union register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications for wine referred to in Article 104 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
(5) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Committee for the Common Organisation of Agricultural Markets,
