Bakgrunn

(1) Pursuant to Article 97(3) in conjunction with Article 105 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council (2), Italy’s application for approval of a Union amendment to the product specification of the protected designation of origin ‘Romagna’, which the Commission had received before the date of entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (3).
(2) No statement of opposition under Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143, which is applicable to the application for approval of the Union amendment in accordance with Article 90(2) of that Regulation, has been received by the Commission.
(3) The application for approval of a Union amendment should therefore be approved,
