Network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission systems – revision
Regulation (EU) 2017/459 establishes a network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission systems. It specifies how adjacent transmission system operators must cooperate to facilitate capacity sales.
This initiative aims to:
- address issues emerging from implementation;
- align the code with the hydrogen and decarbonised gas market package;
- address the EU General Court’s ruling on Chapter V; and
- ensure that the rules meet the changing circumstances and needs of EU gas markets.
