European statistics – rescaling of harmonised indices to the common index reference period 2025
Regulation (EU) 2016/792 establishes a common framework for developing, producing and disseminating harmonised indices (the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices at constant tax rates, the Owner-Occupied Housing Price Index, and the House Price Index).
This implementing regulation sets detailed rules on the rescaling of the harmonised indices to the new common index reference period of 2025, to ensure harmonisation in the European Statistical System.
