(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260 (2) establishes, in Annexes I and II thereto, lists of Member States or parts thereof which are regarded as being free from certain diseases of aquatic animals, not listed in accordance with Article 9(1), point (d), of Regulation (EU) 2016/429, or which are subject to an eradication programme for those diseases, and for which national measures are approved.
(2) Denmark has notified the Commission that compartment 106314 within its territory, which is listed in Annex I to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260, can no longer be regarded as being free from bacterial kidney disease (BKD). Furthermore, Denmark has notified the Commission that compartments 84470 and 103910 within its territory, which are listed in Annex I to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260, can no longer be regarded as being free from infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPN). The competent authority will no longer take national measures to prevent the introduction, or to control the spread, for these diseases in those compartments. Those compartments should, therefore, be removed from the list in Annex I to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260.
(3) Denmark has also notified the Commission that the eradication programme for certain diseases, referred to in Annex II to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260, has now been successfully finalised as regards BKD for compartment 103606 within its territory, which is listed in that Annex. Therefore, that compartment can be regarded as being free from BKD and should be removed from the list in that Annex. It should, instead, be inserted into the list of compartments that are regarded as being free from BKD in Annex I to that Implementing Decision.
(4) In addition, Denmark has notified the Commission that it has commenced an eradication programme for BKD for compartment 103670 within its territory. That compartment should, therefore, be added to the list of compartments that are subject to an eradication programme for BKD in Annex II to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260.
(5) Annexes I and II to Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/260 should, therefore, be amended accordingly.
